Dr. Guiley’s family settled in the Eugene area around 1800. His father was an Air Force pilot and he spent most of his early life on bases throughout the US and other countries. He served as a Combat Engineering Officer in the US Army before returning to civilian life.
He obtained his Doctor of Optometry and Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of California Berkeley, where he is a lecturer for the National Online Glaucoma Certification Course for optometric physicians. Dr. Guiley served as Chief of Medical Glaucoma for eight years in a busy eye surgery center and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Optometry at Pacific University.
Dr. Guiley joined Coffman Vision to provide primary care and glaucoma services to our patients.
