On October 7th 2017 we hosted a special event at Coffman Vision Clinic to provide free eye exams, frames, and lenses for our neighbors in need. With the help of several local and national entities, we were able to see 24 patients and provide glasses and a comprehensive health check to every patient who was referred to us through the following groups in Central Oregon: Latino Community Association, Family Access Network,Community Outreach, Inc., Mosaic Medical, Saving Grace Imagine Life Without Violence, and NeighborImpact.
It was a very positive experience for all of us. It felt so good to have the opportunity to give back to our community, and to provide much needed eye-health services to this group of people. It was a delicate balance of coordination to provide all elements necessary to accomplish the goal of getting complete pairs of glasses into the hands of people who are in need, so they can clearly see our beautiful world.
Coffman Vision Clinic would like to thank the following companies for their generous donations of products and services that made this all possible: • 141 Eyewear• Essilor Vision Foundation • St. Charles Health System
